The Association Between Plexus and World Hunger
People from around the world suffer from hunger, even those who live in first-world countries. There are still a lot of people who are impervious to the issue of hunger, even from first-world countries. Day by day, families and children are not certain when or where they will be getting their next meal. Christopher Pair, president of Plexus, knows the implications of world hunger. His real-life experience of childhood hunger is one of the reasons why he can relate to this issue strongly.
Christopher Pair was the grandson of a Mexican immigrant and the son of a sharecropper where joining the military on the part of his father has saved them from poverty. To provide for the family, his father left the service and became a gardener. Most of the time, there was not enough food supply in their own house. The nutritional value of their food was also not an assurance. As a young boy, Christopher and his family had to look for other ways to pay for food such as recycling. In order for them to buy meals, they needed to trade soda cans with money.
Having experienced years of uncertainty, Christopher made it his mission to obtain proper education to further his career. Adding emphasis to prosperity and good health, Christopher Pair came to the direct selling industry prepared to change lives for the better. As a direct selling company that promotes people live healthier lives, Plexus Worldwide has sought the help of Christopher Pair to be their President of Operations and International.
For a long time, Christopher Pair has been in the industry to help other people make the most of their lives. He joined Plexus because of their goal to help other people overcome health challenges. Because of their focus on nutrition and health, Plexus and Christopher Pair are finding ways to provide an end to world hunger.
In the year 2018 of June, Feeding America became partners with Plexus to help end world hunger. The partnership intends to make a positive and long-term impact on world hunger. Their Nourish One initiative is where every time you buy a Plexus Lean product from them, 14 meals as equivalent in a monetary donation will go to Feeding America. For five months, 4 million meals have been donated.
Owing to the fact that Christopher Pair still wants to reach more than 10 million meal donations, their Nourish One Initiative has partnered internationally with Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is a worldwide child hunger charity that aims to feed 1.3 million children every day. Basically, if you purchase any of the new products of Plexus Lean, a portion of it will be donated to this charity. Plexus has even made an initial $25,000 donation to Mary’s Meals on the 12th of January.
Mary’s Meals partners with community volunteers to create school feeding programs to 17 of the world’s most impoverished countries. Instead of begging to get a meal, children are motivated to go to school for them to get a meal.
